Special cases

  1. If domain transfer is initiated by the organization to the person acting on behalf of its executive authority/organization, in which the executive authority is the same person
  2. If a letter is issued by a person other than a head of organization
  3. If domain transfer is initiated by the affiliate
  4. If domain transfer is initiated by a foreign representative
  5. If a transferor of .RU, .РФ or .SU domains is not an identified client
  6. If domain transfer is initiated by the managing company
  1. If domain transfer is initiated by the organization to the person acting on behalf of its executive authority/organization, in which the executive authority is the same person

    1.1. Transferor has LLC status

    The required documents:

    • domain transfer letter to be issued on behalf of the organization and signed by its authorized person*;
    • a copy of slip from Unified State Register of Legal Entities (issued not earlier than 90 days before the date of submission);
    • a copy of the resolution (protocol) of the stockholders' general meeting on approval of the transaction**.

    1.2. Transferor has JSC or CSJC status

    The required documents:

    • domain transfer letter to be issued on behalf of the organization and signed by its authorized person*;
    • copy of slip from Unified State Register of Legal Entities (issued not earlier than 90 days before the date of submission);
    • copy of the decision (protocol) taken by the participants' general meeting on approval of the deal**;
    • a slip from the stockholders' register;
    • a copy of the entity's Charter ****.

    1.3. Transferor is a non-profit organization

    The required documents:

    • domain transfer letter to be issued on behalf of the organization and signed by its authorized person*;
    • copy of slip from Unified State Register of Legal Entities (issued not earlier than 90 days before the date of submission);
    • copy of the decision (protocol) of the non-profit organization's management or supervisory body;
    • copy of entity's Charter.

    * - if the authority of the entity's executive body has been delegated to the management company, a trusted person of the management company may not sign the letter on domain transfer (based on item 3, art. 182 of the RF** - if the sole founder is a person with the co-functions of the entity's executive body, there is no need to submit a copy of the decision (protocol);
    *** -  if the company consists of the stockholder with the co-functions of the entity's executive body, there is no need to submit a copy of the decision (protocol);
    **** - if the company consists of the stockholder with the co-functions of the entity's executive body, there is no need to submit a copy of the entity's Charter.

  2. A letter is issued by a person other than the head of organization

    A letter can be signed by a person who is not a head of organization. The authorities of this person shall be validated by the Power of attorney, order or any other document.

    • In this case the letter should be issued on behalf of the organization in the name of the authorized person;
    • it is required to specify in a letter his (her) name, surname, middle name and a title;
    • it is also required to specify in a letter the number and date of document issue, which acknowledges the powers of an authorized person (for example:
      <based on the Power of attorney No. ______ dated _______>
      or <based on order No. _____ dated ______>);
    • the letter shall be signed by an authorized person.

    The letter should also come with a copy of the Power of attorney or order. Power of attorney or order shall stipulate that:

    • an authorized person is entitled to alienate a domain name (or make transactions with regard to a domain name, or sign documents for domain ownership transfer, make any transactions, or conclude and terminate all types of agreements) without any limitations, including the cost.
    • In the Power of attorney for transfer of specific domain names it shall be required to indicate second-level domain names without www prefix; IDN domains shall be presented as xn--***.su.

    It is not allowed to transfer the rights against the letter signed by a domain registrant's representative on the basis of the Power of attorney, if the domain administration rights are transferred to the representative him- (her)self or another person (authorized person) (based on part 3, Article182 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation).

    Registrar is entitled to request notarized copies of additional documents to be submitted by the Customer within the requested time period.

  3. Transferor is an affiliate
    • a letter on domain ownership transfer should be issued on behalf of the head organization in the name of an affiliate manager or the person acting on behalf of the head organization on the basis of the Power of attorney;
    • The letter shall come with a copy of the Power of attorney;
    • The Power of attorney shall clearly stipulate that an authorized person is entitled to alienate a domain name (or make transactions with regard to a domain name, or sign documents for domain ownership transfer, make any transactions - conclude and terminate all types of agreements) without any limitations, including the cost.
  4. Transferor is a foreign representative
    • a letter on domain ownership transfer should be issued on behalf of the head of a foreign organization in the name of the head of the representative office, or a person acting in its name on the basis of the Power of attorney;
    • The letter shall come with a copy of the Power of attorney;
    • The Power of attorney shall clearly stipulate that an authorized person is entitled to alienate a domain name (or make transactions with regard to a domain name, or sign documents for domain ownership transfer, make any transactions - conclude and terminate all types of agreements) without any limitations, including the cost.
  5. Transferor of .RU, .РФ or .SU domains is a non-identified client

    A copy of certificate of business registration shall be attached to the letter for domains ownership transfer.

  6. Transferor is a managing company

    The required documents:

    • a letter on domain ownership transfer signed by the authorized representative of the managing company;
    • a copy of the Agreement on transfer of the sole executive body's powers;
    • a copy of the charter;
    • A copy of slip from Unified State Register of Legal Entities (issued not earlier than 90 days before the date of submission);

    The Registrar reserves the right to request the additional documents.
