Undelegation and deletion of non-renewed gTLD and non-Russian ccTLD domain names

If domain name is not renewed before registration expiry date specified in Expiration Date in Whois service, domain delegation will be suspended, domain will have clientHold status and the services using this domain (website, mail, etc.) will cease to operate. In this case the Registrant reserves the right to renew registration within blocking period.

The duration of registration blocking period for each TLD is specified in the table:

If domain name renewal is not paid within the Blocking period, the registrar will initiate in the Registry domain name deletion procedure. Generally, domain name deletion procedure in the Registry lasts 35 days. In this case the Registry usually sets corresponding status for the domain in Whois service for 30 days:

• .NET, .COM, .CC, .TV, .BZ, .MN - RedemptionPeriod,
• .BIZ, .TEL — Pending Delete,
• .INFO, .ORG, .ME, .MOBI, .NAME - PendingDelete Restorable.

Generally, within 25 days from the moment of initiation of the deletion procedure domain may be redeemed and renewed (except for .WS, .KZ) upon Registrant's request. If domain name is not redeemed and renewed, it is usually deleted from the Registry within 5 days upon expiry of RedemptionPeriod (Pending Delete or PendingDelete Restorable). Within these 5 days (domain status in Registry PendingDelete), domain may not be redeemed, renewed or registered.

Upon domain name deletion from the Registry domain name is available for registration to anyone.
