To transfer domain names from Registrar R01, the Registrant should:
- Make sure that his or her data is verified by the registrar: if data is verified, the Information Verified field in the personal account → the Registrants section has the value "Yes".
If data is not verified, you should provide copies of supporting documents.
- Submit an application for a transfer code (AuthInfo code)* for the domain name in your personal account in the Domains section by one of the following means:
- if you need the transfer code for one domain name, you should click on the domain name and follow the Transfer Code link in the Tools section;
- if you need the transfer code for several domain names, you should choose the domain names from the list by placing check marks, then choose the group operation "Submit application for transfer code" for the marked domain names and click on Submit.
When compiling an application, make sure that the Registrant's data required for the registrar change is correct:
- the Registrant's email address,
- the Registrant's phone number.
By default, this information is taken from the Registrant's registration data: "email address" and "phone number." The Registrant can change this information prior to submitting the application for the transfer code. If the Registrant has active applications for the transfer code or the valid transfer code is provided, changing the Registrant's email address and phone number required for the registrar change is prohibited.
- Choose one of the following means for receiving the transfer code:
- in writing,
- by email,
- by SMS.
- If you choose to receive the transfer code in writing, the Registrant should go to the R01 office within 3 business days from the application submission date and receive the code.
To receive the transfer code at the office, the Registrant's will need the following documents:
- for individuals and individual entrepreneurs - personal ID,
- for representatives of legal entities:
- if a representative is the head of a legal entity, he/she should have a personal ID;
- if a representative is not the head of a legal entity, he/she should have a personal ID and a power of attorney to perform all necessary actions in connection with domain names transfer to another registrar (Power of attorney form);
- a copy of the Certificate of an Entry about the Legal Entity in Uniform State Register of Legal Entities (OGRN Certificate);
If you choose to receive the transfer code by email or SMS, a message containing the application confirmation key for the registrar change will be sent to the Registrant's email address or phone number, depending on the choice.
The Registrant should confirm the application for the transfer code in the personal account → the Domains section → Applications for . RU, .ÐÔ domain transfer code: find the corresponding application and enter the key.
Additionally, a letter containing the link to the page in the personal account, where you can confirm or cancel the application for the transfer code, will be sent to the Registrant by email.
Attention! You should confirm the application for the transfer code within 3 business days.
After the application is confirmed, the transfer code will be generated automatically.
- The transfer code is available in the Registrant's personal account in the Domains section: click on the domain name and choose "Transfer code" in the Tools section.
- Then ask a new Registrar to launch the Registrar change procedure in the Registry and provide it with the transfer code (AuthInfo code) for the domain name.
AuthInfo code (transfer code) is used for protecting domain names against unauthorized registrar change. When changing a registrar, you should provide the AuthInfo code to the registrar to which the domain name is transferred. If there is no transfer code or the transfer code is invalid, the registry will reject the domain transfer request made by the new registrar.
The AuthInfo code is valid within 20 calendar days.
It becomes invalid:
- following the domain name transfer to another registrar
- following the domain name transfer to another registrant
- In the event of the current Registrar's refusal to transfer the domain name on the grounds contemplated in the .RU, .ÐÔ Domain Registration Policy and the Schedule "On procedure governing domain name transfer between registrars."
Conditions under which Registrar change is impossible:
- the domain registration term has expired;
judicial or prejudicial restraints have been imposed on the domain name;
- Registrar R01 had asked the Registrar to provide additional information which was not provided in due time.
- less than 30 days have passed after the Registrant change;
- less than 30 days have passed after the Registrar change.
