Letter execution rules

1. The domain names should be specified in the letters without WWW.

2. Domain names containing Cyrillic characters must be listed both in Cyrillic form and in PUNYCODE.
For example: ð01.su (XN--01-KMC.SU).

Domains in Cyrillic TLDs (.ÐÔ, .ÌÎÑÊÂÀ) may be listed only in Cyrillic form, without PUNYCODE.

3. The letter is required to bear its signing date.

4. The letters are valid for 3 months since their signing date.

5. Original letters, only, shall be accepted in respect of Registrant or Registrar change and domain name registration cancellation, as well as in respect of agreement to Whois details publication in the publicly available sources. Facsimile and other letter copies are not processed and not answered to.

6. No facsimile signature documents shall be accepted.

7. In case a letter/order covers more than 10 domain names, abiding by the "Domain name list execution rules" shall be required.

8. In case a letter contains more than one sheet, any such letter shall be submitted in a sewn together and numbered form. Please, specify on the last sheets verso the sheet number in the sewing place, put the entity managers signature and testify it with a seal/stamp imprint.

9. In case a formal document of another country is submitted (issued by an administrative or judicial body or a Notary Public, or a memorandum of association), the document should be legalised by a relevant authority:

consular legalisation, for example, for such countries as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Brazil, Libya, etc.; and
apostille placement for signatory countries of the 1961 Convention of the Hague, for example, for such countries as Austria, Australia, Belize, Belgium, Hungary, Denmark, Ireland, Israel, Spain, Italy, Norway, Seychelles, France, Croatia, Sweden, Japan, etc.

No legalisation is needed if the document is issued in a country with which Russia has entered into an agreement on mutual recognition of official documents (for instance, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Georgia, Spain, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, etc.).

In case any letters are submitted in a foreign language (any language but Russian), apart from its original, the translation of the text into Russian has to be submitted, its adequacy to be testified by a Notary Public.

For legal entities:

A letter submitted on behalf of a company shall be executed on the company’s letterhead, signed by its authorized representative, and certified with the company’s seal (if any).

If the letter is not certified with the company’s seal, it is required to enclose a copy of its Articles of Association to the letter to prove that the company has no seal.

If the letter is executed on behalf of the company’s director acting on the basis of the company’s Articles of Association, the signature on the letter shall be certified with the company’s seal (if any).

If the letter is not certified with the company’s seal, it is required to enclose a copy of the company’s Articles of Association to the letter to prove that the company has no seal.

If the letter is signed by a representative acting on the basis of an administrative order or power of attorney, such power of attorney or administrative order shall state that the authorized representative is entitled to transfer ownership of the domain name (make transactions in respect of the domain name, sign documents on transferring domain rights, or enter into and terminate any contracts) on an unrestricted basis.

In this case, a copy of the administrative order or the power of attorney shall be enclosed to the letter. The authorized representative’s signature shall be certified with the company’s seal (if any).

If the letter is not certified with the company’s seal, it is required to enclose a copy of the company’s Articles of Association to the letter to prove that the company has no seal.

If the letter is executed on behalf of the company’s branch which is not an independent legal entity, the letter shall be certified with the company’s seal (if any).

If the branch has no seal, it is required to enclose a copy of the branch statute to the letter to prove that the branch has no seal.

Please note: the power of attorney/administrative order shall clearly indicate the authorized representative’s right to transfer ownership of the domain name (make transactions in respect of the domain name, or sign documents on transferring domain rights) or make any transactions and enter into any contracts on behalf of the company.

In the event of any doubts about the authenticity of provided information, the Registrar shall be entitled to request additional supporting documents at its own discretion.

For individuals and sole traders

If a letter on domain name transfer from R01 to another Registrar, domain name registration cancellation or on agreement to publish the Whois details in the publicly available sources is sent in the name of an individual, the applicant's name has to be testified by a Notary Public (it is not required only if the domain Registrant signs the letter in the Registrar's office upon presentation of her/his passport).

No signature certification by a Notary Public is required in respect of a letter on domain name transfer to R01 from another Registrar, as well as in respect of the accepting party's letter when the domain Registrant is changed. Enclosed with the letter must be the applicant's passport copy (the first double page spread and the page bearing the registered address stamp).

NOTE! The Registrar will not implement the Registrant's request on domain name waiving, administration right assigning or Registrar change, if the domain name registration period has expired, as well as within 30 calendar days after the Registrant received the administration rights from another person or after a Registrar change.
