Domains deletion

If the domain name has not been renewed in due time, it will be undelegated on the last day of the prepaid term ("reg-till" field in Whois output), and in not less than 30 days from "reg-till" date the domain name will be automatically deleted (on "free-date" in Whois). Domain names are not deleted on weekends, holidays and the next working day after them.

Besides, it is possible to delete a domain name before the registration term expiry date ("reg-till" field in Whois output). This procedure is free of charge. The amounts paid by you for the domain name registration are NOT REFUNDED when it is deleted.

The domain name is deleted by the Registrar only upon receiving an original letter from the Registrant.

Content of the letter:
from a legal entity to Registrar R01

• Letter from a legal entity shall be signed by a director and certified by a company seal;
• Certificate of an Entry about the Legal Entity in Uniform State Register of Legal Entities (OGRN Certificate) shall be enclosed to the letter.

from an individual to Registrar R01
from a sole trader to Registrar R01

• Signature on the letter shall be notarized. The letter shall come with the passport copy (copy of the first two pages and a page with stamp on permanent registration);
• No notarization is required, if the registrant submits the letter to Registrar R01 office, producing his passport;
• Non-RF resident will be required to submit original of the letter and a copy of the passport. No notarization of the letter is required.

.RU and .РФ Domain Cancellation Denial Cases

.RU and .РФ dоmain cancellation on the basis of the Registrant's letter cannot be performed in the following cases:

• Domain name registration period is over;
• During the priority renewal period;
• There are any judicial or pretrial restrictions regarding the domain name;
• 30 calendar days have not passed since the Registrant had received administration rights from another person;
• 30 calendar days have not passed since the Registrar change;
• Registrar R01 requested from the Registrant additional data that have not been submitted within the set period.
